# Version 2026.10.29 - More Connected Work, Clearer Evidence, and Reliable Recovery

This update brings together the enhancements since September 2: a Windows desktop preview, deeper research and decision workflows, the OpsDeck console, stronger document processing, and more reliable capture and synchronization. Your Markdown remains yours, sources retain their provenance, and proposed changes stay reviewable.

### Find and review your documents more easily

- Search extracted document content through a local index, with phrase, exact-word, and ranked search options alongside familiar substring matching. Filter by document metadata and keep results connected to their current source version and page references.
- See processing queues, retries, failures, OCR needs, partial extractions, unavailable sources, and metadata awaiting review in the document workspace. Coverage describes the attachments Phasoric can discover locally; it does not imply that every file in a connected provider has been scanned.
- Preview suggested document types, correspondents, dates, tags, and structured properties, with confidence and an explanation for each suggestion. Confirm or correct metadata explicitly; confirmed corrections survive reprocessing.
- Retry interrupted processing and reprocess an existing document into a new extraction version. Earlier extraction and page records remain available, and a failed OCR page preserves successfully extracted pages with a visible warning.
- Review possible duplicates within a chosen Context Scope. Exact attachment checks are distinguished from weaker metadata matches; review does not merge or delete your originals.
- Prepare document-triggered review items and Forge metadata proposals using bounded rules. Tag proposals preserve nested document evidence and your other structured metadata. Unconfirmed metadata can be refreshed when source content changes.

### Work with local Markdown in the Windows desktop preview

- Connect a local Markdown or Obsidian vault through the native folder picker. Choose companion or primary use while keeping the files in their existing location.
- Use quick capture, sticky note windows, tray and taskbar actions, and an optional global capture shortcut. Portable note properties travel with the Markdown instead of being confined to a desktop-only database.
- Keep native file reads, hashing, search indexing, and folder monitoring off the main application thread. Large-vault indexing now groups its local index writes into bounded transactions, reducing opening time while retaining progress and cancellation.
- Receive external file changes without silently overwriting newer edits. Revision conflicts, unavailable folders, and unsupported encodings remain visible, with original bytes preserved.
- Connect native notes to the existing provider synchronization flows. Recovery improvements preserve pending transfers and reduce the chance that an older backlog delays recent edits.
- Review authenticated desktop updates and restart to install them, including while signed in. Desktop remains a Windows preview; the web application and installable mobile PWA remain available separately.

### Follow evidence across research conversations

- Browse Intelligence packs, inspect their coverage, and continue private investigations in a dedicated research workspace with conversation navigation, search, archive/restore, and a keyboard launcher.
- Ask open questions or start from editable research recipes. Review the AI credit estimate before sending a request.
- Inspect answer citations, source passages, publication dates, and recorded revisions beside the conversation. Historical cutoffs remain distinct from when a source was imported or admitted.
- Check what evidence has arrived since a saved answer, then prepare a separate reassessment. New evidence does not rewrite the original answer or mark it reviewed automatically.
- Explore historical decision reconstruction, thesis backtesting, and comparisons across entitled packs. These are source-based research workflows; they do not promise historical foresight or investment returns.
- Where supported, choose optional web research with separately labeled online citations and search status. Pack evidence retains its own historical boundary.
- Save an answer to a chosen vault after review, or enable future-answer autosave for a specific investigation and destination. Failed vault writes remain retryable, and deleting conversation history does not delete previously saved notes.

### Maintain decisions, Watches, and living briefs

- Create Watches for source changes, contradictions, questions, commitments, decision evidence, project drift, and freshness. Choose the scope explicitly and inspect the evidence behind a finding.
- Maintain living briefs with independently reviewable sections, source freshness, version history, and selective refresh. Missing evidence is reported as incomplete coverage.
- Inspect typed relationships and review suggested vocabulary changes. Renamed sources retain stable identities where recorded; an unrelated file at an old path cannot silently replace the original evidence.
- Compare current, effective-time, and known-at evidence where those dates are recorded. Keep source observations separate from human interpretations and confirmed decisions.
- Record decision expectations, assumptions, review criteria, later observations, and outcome assessments. Corrections retain the earlier review, and changed evidence must be inspected before confirming a new conclusion.
- Build configurable daily, weekly, project, research, and decision reviews over saved Quarries, with editable questions and selected source evidence. Review progress and unfinished drafts use the workspace's existing recovery records.
- Review reusable procedures, their evidence, outcomes, explicit retries, and rollback proposals through the existing approval controls. Repeating a request does not silently authorize a second action.
- Carry prepared context more consistently between capture, research, meetings, chat, agents, decisions, and workspace views. Review source context and handoffs before using them in subsequent work.

### See operational work in OpsDeck

- Open the OpsDeck console over your actual workspace, with mission selection, decision dependencies, Pulse alerts, source tasks, captures, and dated commitments.
- Start a watch checkpoint and inspect what changed since your last review. Polling or reopening the console does not acknowledge changes for you.
- Inspect recorded prerequisites and downstream consequences, complete or reopen source tasks, search mission source material, and review calendar information through existing connections.
- Continue real agent conversations and inspect their recorded receipts and source context. Use the review stations and focus controls to keep a selected decision, note, or task close to its supporting evidence.
- Move into the existing editor, Forge, research, meetings, settings, and other workspace tools inside the console. Optional audio and visual effects begin disabled; empty workspaces do not receive invented telemetry.

### Capture, convert, and connect with more control

- Convert supported documents to Markdown in the free browser tool before signing in. Local conversion and supported OCR produce a downloadable result; saving to Phasoric is a separate explicit step.
- Keep voice recordings as capture attachments, retry local transcription, edit the resulting draft, and review filing proposals. Recording and transcription recovery retain the source audio.
- Bring browser clips, research sources, imports, and desktop capture through more consistent review and filing flows, with better interrupted-work recovery.
- Connect compatible AI clients through the documented MCP/OAuth setup. Explicit read and write operations retain account, workspace, source-access, and approval checks. Public app-directory availability is separate from a direct connection.
- Connected education workflows gain stronger source-based generation, quality review, assessment and rubric support, student guidance, and reviewable interpretations of teacher-confirmed evidence. Generated interpretations remain proposals for educator review.

### Reliability and account improvements

- Improve hosted-vault upload recovery, large-note transfers, provider synchronization, progressive vault-tree loading, and workspace recovery after interrupted startup.
- Preserve acquisition and selected-workspace context more consistently through signup, sign-in, and the first useful action. Optional telemetry failures no longer determine signup success.
- Improve credit and subscription handling, connection recovery, notification delivery, and account/data-control workflows, including explicit retention review where available.
- Refresh document parsers, rendering and diagram libraries, and other dependencies, with additional compatibility and security fixes.

Availability depends on your plan, workspace permissions, connected providers, and installed application version. Local scheduled work requires an active client; browser-closed automation requires an eligible configured hosted workflow. Desktop and connected-product releases have their own distribution schedules. This changelog describes the application update and does not announce a new mobile store release or public AI app-directory listing.
