# Daily Notes

Keep a daily journal, track tasks, and capture spontaneous thoughts using automated Daily Notes.

## Creating Today's Note

- Press `Ctrl+Shift+D` (or `Cmd+Shift+D` on macOS) to instantly open or create today's daily note.
- Alternatively, click the **Daily Note** calendar icon in the side navigation sidebar.

## Automated Templates

- Standardize your daily entries. Go to **Settings -> Templates** and assign a default daily note template.
- Each time you create a new daily note, it will automatically populate with placeholders for date, time, and custom headings (like # Journal, # Tasks, or # Scratchpad).
