Migration Wizard (Importing Notebooks)

Migrate notes, files, links, attachments, and portable properties from Evernote, Obsidian, Notion Markdown exports, Inkdrop, NotesHub, standard Markdown folders, or PDFs.

Importing notes

1. Export your notebooks from your current editor:

- Obsidian: Locate your local vault folder.

- Evernote: Export your notebooks as .enex files.

- Notion: Export as Markdown & CSV, unzip it, and choose the complete folder.

- Other platforms: Export a folder containing Markdown and attachments.

2. In Phasoric, open the Migration Wizard under Settings -> Migration.

3. Drag and drop your exported files or folder directories into the import dropzone.

4. Review the measurable preflight: resolved and unresolved links, attachment references, property parse failures, exact-content duplicates, path collisions, warnings, and the bounded quality score.

5. Choose separate policies for existing paths and exact-content duplicates, then run the migration.

6. Download the versioned JSON report after completion. It records the planned checks and realized note, attachment, warning, Draft, and Changed counts.

Trust and retry behavior

Imported knowledge is never silently marked Verified. New notes enter the trusted knowledge ledger as Draft. Replacing content already tracked by the ledger changes that record to Changed, preserving the former fingerprint in its history for review.

The source remains untouched. Phasoric persists the preflight decision as a local migration session, then commits bounded attachment and note checkpoints. Each note chunk atomically includes the note, recoverable version, sync intent, trust record, trust event, and new checkpoint. If the tab closes or a write fails, the wizard offers Resume and continues from the last committed item without recalculating collisions against its own partial import. Abandoning a checkpoint does not delete items that were already committed. Existing remote paths still require the separate reviewed cloud-sync confirmation shown in the wizard.

Capture Studio

Capture Studio accepts quick notes, web highlights with source URLs, voice, photos, documents, receipts, and multi-page scans. It keeps extracted text and attachments in the Capture Inbox for review, records measurable capture facts such as text and attachment counts, and creates Draft trust records.

Reusable local templates can add title/content prefixes, tags, a target vault/folder, and an optional Capture recipe. Deterministic rules match bounded capture types, exact source domains or their subdomains, required tags, and text terms. The highest-priority match is shown on the Inbox item before filing. Filing through Forge remains a preview that requires approval.
