    Connect a documented client, verify a read and ask which decisions constrain the next change. Approve any proposed note update separately.

What to expect

This is Markdown knowledge access, not an Obsidian plugin runtime. Plugin databases, queries and custom behavior need separate review. Device-encrypted remote note bodies are unavailable to hosted MCP.

Before you begin

Do I have to replace Obsidian?

You can begin with selected Markdown notes while retaining the original vault. Review synchronization and write permissions before using the same files from multiple tools.

Can an agent read my laptop automatically?

No. Hosted MCP needs an explicitly mapped, internet-reachable vault. It does not expose an arbitrary local folder or bypass device encryption.
