Free Local Vault Intelligence Audit

The Vault Intelligence Audit (/vault-audit) is a private, client-side tool that analyzes local Markdown folders or ENEX exports to give you a comprehensive health and migration report.

Local Processing Boundary

  • On-Device Audit Processing: The audit pipeline scans selected files inside your web browser using local code and Web Workers.
  • No Audit-Content Upload: The local audit request does not upload note text, filenames, structure, or attachments. Product telemetry, when enabled, contains only coarse operation metadata.

Key Audit Metrics & Health Checks

The audit tool inspects your vault for:

  • Inventory & Organization: Note count, folder depth, attachment size, and link density.
  • Broken & Unresolved Links: Lists WikiLinks or Markdown links that point to missing target files.
  • Orphan & Unlinked Notes: Identifies isolated notes with no incoming or outgoing connections.
  • Duplicate & Near-Duplicate Notes: Pinpoints identical or heavily overlapping files.
  • Decision & Commitment Extraction: Identifies candidate decisions and open action items in raw notes.
  • Migration & Attachment Risks: Flags unsupported proprietary formatting, oversized attachments, or syntax conversion warnings.
  • Knowledge Health Score: Calculates an overall score (0-100) with actionable recommendations for improving vault structure.

Dedicated Workspace Screen & Shortcuts

  • Dedicated Vault Health Screen: Accessible anytime at /app/audit (or via the Library menu) to keep your main Dashboard clean and focused.
  • Power-User Shortcut: Press `Ctrl+Shift+A` anywhere in the application to jump directly to Vault Health.
  • Command Palette Trigger: Launch `Ctrl+K` and type Vault Health to trigger a local scan instantly.
